Privacy Policy

Summary

TipHaven works without an account. Shift dates, hours, tips, wages, sales, covers, workplace names, roles, sections, and notes that you enter are stored locally on your iPhone and are not sent to TipHaven. We cannot remotely access, recover, correct, or delete information that remains only on your device.

This policy covers the TipHaven iOS app and tiphaven.app. TipHaven is provided by Kenneth Marcel S De Geest, an autónomo established in Spain. Contact support@tiphaven.app.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your shift information, preferences, reminder configuration, and usage state locally until you edit or delete it, delete all app data, remove the app, restore a backup, or the device data otherwise becomes unavailable.

Purchases

Apple processes subscriptions and eligible legacy lifetime purchases under Apple’s privacy policy and App Store terms. TipHaven uses RevenueCat to record purchase status and understand subscription performance while Apple StoreKit verifies access on your device.

RevenueCat may receive an anonymous app-user identifier, product identifier, purchase status, country, price, and subscription lifecycle information. It does not receive the shift or earnings details you enter in TipHaven.

Product analytics

TipHaven uses Google Firebase Analytics for coarse events such as onboarding progress and completion, plan selection, shift milestones, insight views, export completion, and purchase outcomes. These events do not include earnings amounts, tips, wages, sales, notes, employer or workplace names, roles, sections, exported files, or backup contents.

Analytics is used to improve the product, not to build an advertising profile or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Apple may provide privacy-preserving campaign attribution for Apple Ads installations; TipHaven does not use this for cross-app tracking.

Exports, backups, and notifications

When you export or create a backup, TipHaven prepares a file and opens Apple’s file or share interface. You choose its destination, whose own privacy practices apply.

If you enable a reminder, TipHaven asks for notification permission and schedules it locally. TipHaven does not use push notifications or send reminder details to its own server.

Website information

The website host may process standard technical information needed to deliver and secure tiphaven.app, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, and security logs. Essential cookies may be used. Optional analytics or marketing cookies will only be enabled where disclosed and, when legally required, after your choice.

If you email us, we process your email address and message to answer and manage your request. Please do not include sensitive financial or employment information.

Legal bases and service providers

Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in securing and improving TipHaven, consent where required, and legal obligations. Relevant providers may include Apple, RevenueCat, Google Firebase, GitHub Pages, the domain provider, and the support-mailbox provider. We do not sell personal information.

Providers may process information outside your country using recognized safeguards where required.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit shifts, export them as CSV, delete individual shifts, or use Delete All Data. Notification permission can be changed in iOS Settings, and subscriptions through your Apple account.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we control, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request or complain to your local data-protection authority. These rights do not give us access to records that never leave your device.

Children, security, and retention

TipHaven is a general financial utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Local data remains until you remove it or it otherwise becomes unavailable. Other information is retained only as long as needed for support, security, disputes, and legal obligations.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when TipHaven’s practices or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain here.
